I love my apartment, lots of trees and its mostly quiet. My neighbor next door argues with her husband a lot. Called the rental office and complained, they seemed to quite down. The office people are polite and maintenance comes quickly. Price is fair and security patrol is very helpful, they carried groceries for me.

A housing authority may establish a minimum rent of up to $50. The apartment is good for the price, however it is a hassle to get something done. First day i moved in, the toilet was broken and nasty. When i asked if the toilet could be changed for one that didn't look like someone had left poop in it, the maintenance guy gave me an outright no because it was just a build up. When i went to the office to request for the toilet to be changed because it had something nasty in there, i was told if its not broken, there is no need to change it. This is a used toilet with nasty things stuck in it, who would want to move into their new apartment and use that?

Now to ask for anything, you have to think twice so you are not treated as being inconsiderate. If they would show a little concern and understanding, a lot of things will be better. But hey, its a business and once you sign the lease, you are pretty much at their mercy.

The toilet is still not changed...sad. My bathroom is always smelling like someone is smoking in there but i am even scared to raise that concern. They currently use COVID-19 as an excuse for not getting our laundry cards filled. The machine is in the office, the office is closed for a while now and they still haven't come up with a solution on how to help residents get access to the machine with limited contact. I was told to go look for public laundromats, like that is not worst for my safety than using the laundry room in my own apartment.
